I love shooting at Gotham Comedy Club and last night was no exception. Loni Love was the headliner and she was hilarious! You may know her from “Chelsea Lately” or just seen her around because she’s EVERYWHERE! Opening for Loni was very funny, Desean Ross, Angelo Lozada, and Mark Normand. I just received the new Nikon D4 and couldn’t wait to put it to the test. I shot this entire set on 6400 ISO. The noise performance is amazing. ISO 6400 was the highest I wanted to go on the Nikon D3 and I never really “wanted” to go there. I now consider this the low end of ISO in extreme situations. I wanted to test the new 3D meter mode and I have to say, it was all over the place. It was bouncing around from face to shoulder, back to the face and then not even on the subject at all. I wasn’t expecting that to happen since I was pretty pleased with it when testing it earlier in the day. Overall I feel like there is no situation the D4 can’t handle and handle well.
